My name is Florent BELEMGNEGRE

Question: Where does the name “Floby” come from?

Answer: Floby is composed of the first three letters from my first name (Flo) and the first letter of my last name (B). And because I was not really pleased with the consonance, I added the letter (y) to the (B) to have (by). The combination gives “FLOBY”  

I made myself definitely known in the field of music since 2000. For 7 years now. Otherwise, it is since my childhood I am playing music. I have recorded 1 album and the last one is entitled “Mam Soore”.

I say thank you to all my fans, to all those who support me and who love listening to my music. I wish they continue supporting me and trusting me. As for me, I will also fight for them. And whatever may come, tolerance must always be in the heart of their daily struggle.

      I wish the blooming of Burkina Faso artist. But this could only happen quickly thanks to the authorities’ support. Music must be taken seriously and fully considered like any job.

            Thanks to music, many things can be done. I wonder what I would have done or what I would have become without music…

            I thank God for guiding me in this choice.
